Mel has been a resident of Texas over 20 years. She began her phlebotomy career in 2007 and has excelled. She is certified through National Association of Health Professionals. Mel has an extensive background in various areas, including the military. She enjoys applying her skills and knowledge that she gained in pediatrics and geriatrics. Mel has a sense of humor and a story for every situation. Mel has five children and three grandchildren who all love to travel, cook, and fine dining. Mel is excited to teach you tips and tricks that will be helpful in the phlebotomy field. She is excited to began this new adventure with you.

Tomeka Carter

Tomeka is a former Michigan Resident. Her and her husband moved to Texas 3 years ago to be with family. She received her Phlebotomy Certificate in 2003 through Phlebotomy Education LLC and in 2009 received her Phlebotomy Certification with (ASCP). Tomeka has over 18 years of Phlebotomy experience and has worked in some of the top Hospitals in Michigan. Her experience ranges from Outpatient and Inpatient phlebotomy, mobile phlebotomy, and Doctor offices.Tomeka also has experience as being a Lead Phlebotomist and Specimen Processor. She is currently working full time at LabCorp as a Phlebotomist. Tomeka is excited to teach you the skills and the knowledge in becoming an excellent Phlebotomist.

Sherille Robinson

Traveling Phlebotomist, ER Tech, Author

Sherille is from NYC born and raised in the Bronx. She started phlebotomy in 2010 and did not think she would be so great at it. She is certified through the NHA. Sherille has traveled to different hospitals as a traveling phlebotomist which makes her have a huge impact on how to deal with many different patients. Sherille loves sharing the crazy ER stories she’s experienced as an Emergency room technician as well. Sherille has had a phenomenal reputation with doctors and nurses, making her very likely to be remembered, even by her patients. Sherille used her painful experience watching her mom with MS as a way of treating every patient with care and love and laughs. She treats every patient as if they are her own family. Sherille has a loving fiancé by the name of LaMelle, who is the love of her life. Sherille loves to writes books, and has three published books. Sherille is encouraging and cares for each person she meets. She cannot wait to share her knowledge and hopes it will help people to be there for each other in times of hope.

Kortney Cousin

Kortney is a Texas Native. She started her phlebotomy career in 2014 and has been passionate for the skill setting and profession ever since. Kortney has her degree in Medical assistant and minor in phlebotomy. She has worked with all patients caring for them and providing excellent bedside manner, as well as assisting physicians and patients in obtaining samples. Kortney has worked for numerous specialities as well as a contractor for Department of Affairs. She has gained excellent experience and with dedication and commitment she was able to have several supervisor positions. Helping advance her leadership skills and become more detail oriented to the things that matter. Staying organized and proficient helps prevent the unknown from happening. Kortney has a son who she loves dearly. Just one kiddo is enough for her to spoil him rotten. Rotten I tell you. Kortney loves to go to church, read books, as well as enjoy some fresh air at the park or a run around the neighborhood keeps her active. Kortney can not wait to have you in her class. She is a positive role model, encouraging to all, as well as excited to start class with you. She is dedicated to making sure you not only pass your course but also set you up for success in your new career field. She would be honored to have you in her class!
