Do you offer employment support?
+
While Phlebotomy Training Specialists does not offer formal job placement or guarantee employment, we are dedicated to helping students take the next step in their careers. Students can connect with our Career Coordinator for guidance on job searching and interview preparation.
Graduates of our program may also return to their original campus at no additional charge through our Student for Life Promise. This benefit enables you to complete additional blood draws, refine your technique, and continue to build the skills that employers seek when hiring.
Are classes in-person or online?
+
Our classes are taught in person because we believe the best way to learn is through hands-on experience. In the classroom, students perform real blood draws under the guidance of an experienced instructor who provides immediate feedback and support. This hands-on approach helps you graduate with the skills, confidence, and experience to step directly into a phlebotomy role.
How much hands-on experience will I get?
+
Approximately half of the program is dedicated to hands-on practice, giving you the time and support needed to master your phlebotomy technique. Students will complete a minimum of 30 blood draws, with no limit on the number of additional draws that can be performed. You are encouraged to practice as much as needed to build confidence and skill under the guidance of your instructor.
Additionally, through our Student for Life Promise, graduates can return to their original campus free of charge. This allows you to gain even more experience and continue refining your technique.
Yes and no. Each class covers foundational skills you’ll need to succeed as a phlebotomist. If you know you will have to miss a day on the schedule, please register for program dates that better fit your availability.
Once classes begin, if you must miss a class or are unexpectedly absent due to illness or an emergency, Student Services can help make arrangements to stay on track.
The first classes are mandatory. Missing more than two classes (modules)* may result in rescheduling into a future course.
*The 40-hour program consists of 10 modules, each lasting four hours. To progress to the externship part of the program, all class modules must be attended.
